Klaufi mentioned, this weekend, that the SCA site simply states that the study is mainly along the lines of "pre-17th Century Cultures in Europe". I guess that means I can finally have the Neanderthal persona I've always wanted!
Seriously though, since the time frame seems to have become more relaxed in the past 50 years (it used to be 650 CE through 1650 CE), I might go ahead with an Imperial Roman persona, at least durnig the summer. I've always loved the idea of Ancient Roman garb and had I known, I could have whipped up plenty of it for June Faire. I had the sheets and it's the easiest garb on the planet.
I think I'll pop HBO's "Rome" in the DVD player tonight to put me in the mood.
